Description Role Snapshot Our Senior Cost Report Auditor completes audits and desk reviews in accordance with government requirements for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to ensure accurate reporting of statistical and financial data reported in the Medicare Cost Report. This role has a direct impact on confirming the US Tax funded Medicare program is working efficiently and cost effective. Salary Range $64,000 $75,000 The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a Senior level auditor, you will: Lead completion of Desk Reviews and Audits of Medicare cost reports, including complex issues with large dollar reimbursement impact. Prepare audit adjustment reports and detailed work papers in accordance with Government Auditing Standards and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, during review, analysis, and audit/desk review of provider cost report. Analyze expense and revenue data for reasonableness and compliance, review provider pricing policies for consistency in charges, and examine statistical data for cost allocations. Assist in training and advisement of Auditor work. Defend reimbursement or audit decisions made during desk review or audit. How do I know this opportunity is right for me? Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience. 2 or more years of related work experience as a Cost Report Auditor working on CMS contracts. Preferred Qualifications 5 or more years of experience in a Medicare Audit or Reimbursement role. Experience as a Cost Report Auditor at WPS Health Solutions. Accounting or Finance background.
