Staffmark is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to enhance our team in Grove City, OH. If you have a solid background in payroll processing and expertise with ADP payroll systems, we want to hear from you! Pay: $25 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM As a Payroll Specialist, you will accurately process bi-weekly or monthly payroll using ADP systems while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. You'll verify and input all payroll-related data, including time, attendance, deductions, bonuses, and benefits. Maintaining comprehensive payroll records, you'll update employee data and tax forms as necessary. Additionally, you'll address payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly and assist with payroll adjustments for new hires, terminations, wage changes, and leave balances. Your role will also involve calculating and reporting employee tax withholdings, garnishments, and deductions, collaborating with HR and accounting teams to ensure smooth operations, generating and distributing payroll reports, and staying informed about payroll policies, procedures, and tax laws. Finally, you will assist in auditing and reconciling payroll accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent, an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, is preferred. Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role. Proficiency with ADP payroll systems; familiarity with other HRIS software is a plus. Strong understanding of payroll practices, wage and hour laws, and tax regulations. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with payroll accounting and journal entries.
