Naval Medical Command FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANAYLST in Groton, Connecticut

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the DIRECTORATE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVSUBMEDRSCHLAB NEW LONDON CT. Responsibilities You will provide insight into funds management. You will optimize usage of budgetary resources for mission critical objectives. You will identify root causes of unexpended funds. You will support overall audit readiness initiatives. You will improve internal controls for compliance with fiscal regulations. You will support the allocation and execution of Research and Development and Operation and Maintenance funds received by Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory. You will provide back-up support for the Civilian payroll reconciliation process. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing funding appropriations for a program (e.g., Research, Development, Operations, Maintenance) Experience managing funds allocation in the execution of reimbursable work order funding Experience coordinating financial management requirements to achieve audit readiness Experience preparing contractual funding documents to maintain funding obligations Experience resolving problems between financial accounting systems (e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning Financial System, Standardized Accounting and Reporting System, or similar systems) Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
