Position Summary
Due to recent retirements, we are looking to fill 2 part-time rolls on our chauffer/carpool team. Chauffer drivers are responsible for safely operating a motor vehicle that is assigned to transport passengers to and from a specified location such as homes, workplaces, airports, and other miscellaneous destinations as approved. Drivers must quickly and safely deliver them to their drop-off destination, obeying all traffic laws and signage. They are expected to provide professional and courteous service to all passengers. Must be familiar with city streets and locations to take passengers to their destinations. Must have great time management skills, customer-centered attitude and attentiveness. Must have the ability to operate a vehicle for 8 hours and be open to working nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving motor vehicle to transport passengers
Purchase gas, keep accurate documentation of miles and other data
Keep all windows clean/clear, as well as interior of vehicle free from debris
Minimum Qualifications
Valid US driver’s license with 3 years minimum driving experience
Two or fewer moving violations within the past 3 years
One or fewer at fault accidents within the past 3 years
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Drivers must stay alert and watch the conditions of the road. They must take precautions to ensure their passengers’ safety, especially in heavy traffic or bad weather.
Drivers must also follow directions such as where they can pick up passengers.
Drivers will familiarize themselves with the streets in the areas that they are traveling. They should choose the most efficient routes, considering the traffic at that time of day.
Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find locations, such as airports, train stations, convention centers, hotels, and other points of interest. They also know where to find fire and police stations and hospitals in case of an emergency.
Time management and organizational skills to keep on schedule.
Ability to lift heavy luggage, packages and objects, as well as be able to load and unload them from their vehicle if necessary.
