job summary:
A Quality Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Griffin, GA area. The Quality Engineer ensures product integrity, manages customer issues, and leads quality control efforts using testing, inspection, and problem-solving tools, with a focus on communication and improvement.

responsibilities:
Review and approve sampling procedures, forms, and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data.
Supervise programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production, testing, and measurement equipment.
Direct workers in measuring and testing product quality.
Plan and direct activities to maintain quality standards for processes, materials, and products.
Develop and initiate standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation using knowledge in various engineering fields (chemical, electrical, mechanical).
Potentially manage the overall quality control program.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
Experience with CAD and other engineering software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree.

Willing to take Master's degree with 8+ years of experience.
