GE Hydro Power is recruiting a Tender Manager Construction and Commissioning (TMCC) who will orchestrate construction and commissioning network in ITO (Inquiry to Order) phase of business, in close collaboration with stakeholders in sales, commercial operations, costings, technical tendering, supply chain, site construction, method & tooling, site procurement, commissioning, and quality to achieve business strategy and targets. He/ She needs to possess unrivalled customer focus, eye for process simplification, and organization agility. Incumbents will work within Hydro Tendering Team representing Construction & Commissioning organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive Construction & Commissioning execution of ITO tenders to ensure that the onshore part of the tender (construction, refurbishment, local infrastructures) is compliant with the client’s requirements and GE guidelines.

  • Lead Prebid Site visit activities

  • Establish open communication and builds strong interfaces with Sales, Commercial Operation, Planning, Supply Chain, Site Construction, Method & Tooling, Commissioning, Site procurement, Quality and Functions (Finance, Compliance, Lean).

  • Responsible for internal collaboration with various Construction & Commissioning functional leaders/stakeholders, and internal agreement on Construction & Commissioning inputs in assigned tenders.

  • Support mid and long-term Construction and Commissioning capability development plan by market trend analysis and pipeline forecasting. Represent GE in client meetings related to the construction & commissioning scope of the project.

  • Work closely with engineering team, conduct constructability review, consolidate, optimize narrative document/ construction setup, and deploy most competitive Construction and Commissioning Strategy in respect to EHS, Quality, Cost, Schedule, and Performance for assigned tenders.

  • Contribute to Construction & Commissioning sourcing scheme optimization in ITO, in line with tender strategy. Ensure deployment of win/win schemes with subcontractors and partners to avoid claims at site and optimize the construction activity.

  • Ensures compliance to markets’ trade and contract regulations, EHS standards, GEs commitment to sustainability, with accountability towards zero deviation for construction and commissioning inputs.

  • Drive Construction and Commissioning cost out and schedule improvement initiatives, to ensure achievement of target CM, customer service standards, triple bottom growth, and minimize cash and margin slippage.

  • Ensures appropriate mitigation actions for all foreseeable CC risks (EHS, Quality, Schedule, Cost, and performance).

  • Own rhythm and controls agenda as per requirement of tender and as per RASCI/ regular process.

  • Represent Construction & Commissioning in weekly regional Tender to Win and Hydro Load Reviews, and other important business gate reviews such as R2, R3 calls.

  • Build resources workload for assigned bids.

  • Supports conducting Construction & Commissioning internal gate review (CC Pre-R2).

  • Own Construction & Commissioning hand-over process and application from ITO to OTR.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degrein Engineering

  • Extensive business experience (at least 10 years) required with a broad background in different business functions, with focus on Equipment Installation & Commissioning (Turbine, Generator, BOP), Site Works, Labor Laws, Project Management, Supply Chain and Planning

  • Experience in working in a global matrix organization.

  • Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence/LEAN tools

  • Experience in working with: SFDC, SAP, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Word, PowerPoint

  • Prior sales experience is good to have

  • Proven written and oral communication skills in English
