Cardinal Health Inventory Logistics Planner - 1st Shift in Greenwood, South Carolina

Shift Details: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm. *Required Overtime will be mandatory. Up to 4 hours daily depending on company needs. Weekend production will be required on a needed basis.

Anticipated Hourly Range: $19.00 per hour - $27.10 per hour

What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Job Summary

The Internal Logistics Planner is responsible for determining the slotting strategy of a 283k ft2 replenishment center, with the goal to increase throughput and shipping capability of the RC using current resources

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic statistical analysis of products warehoused and shipped

  • Makes data based decisions on where all 135 products in the RC should be stored to limit travel and touchpoints

  • Create and present slotting strategy to stakeholders to gain by-in and team support

  • Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly review of KPI's to identify changes in product demand and adjust slotting accordingly

  • Builds relationships with internal customers, sources of supply, and business peers to reach desired business objectives.

  • Maintain WMS health by ensuring rules and setup match desired strategy

  • Must be willing to operate PIT equipment and Scissor Lift

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience, preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Ability to query write in Microsoft Access preferred
