Job Description:
The Scientist, Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading one or more teams of Systems Engineers through the Systems Engineering development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, systems architecture design, hardware and software integration, and verification and validation activities related to COMINT and/or ELINT Airborne Systems. This position will require very broad experience across many technical disciplines within the Signals Intelligence domain. The Scientist, Systems Engineer will support both Internal Research and Development (IR&D) and customer awarded contracts is essential in the role.
Essential Functions:
In-depth knowledge of SIGINT, specifically ELINT or COMINT.
Knowledge of Signal Processing using FPGA Devices.
Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts.
Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes large customers and vendors.
Works to influence others to accept new practices, concepts, and approaches.
Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the SIGINT Systems Department here at Majors Field in Greenville, Tx.
Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new processes and systems.
Operational SIGINT experience.
Bayesian Probability Modeling.
Probability Theory and Combinatorics.
Leadership - Task or IPT Leader and/or Functional Management.
Entire Program/Engineering Life Cycle Phases and Activities.
Knowledge of/Experience with Radars.
IRAD and Technical Baseline development/management.
Requirements Management.
Excellent communication both verbal and written.
Proposal Development.
Proficent with Microsoft office.
Leading and establishing guidance across diverse teams.
Willing and able to travel up to 10% .
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of design, development, and/or testing of SIGNT RF Antenna Systems and Signal Processing in FPGA devices.
Graduate Degree with 10 years of design, development, and/or testing of SIGNT RF Antenna Systems and Signal Processing in FPGA devices.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of design, development, and/or testing of SIGNT RF Antenna Systems and Signal Processing in FPGA devices.
An Active Secret Clearance is required at the time of hire with ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Direction finding and Geolocation ELINT or COMINT experience.
Active TS/SCI Clearance.
