Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2025 Summer Intern - Manufacturing Test Engineer.
Manufacturing Test Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform’s program lifecycle. The Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) discipline is responsible for verification of the integrity of the aircraft build from subassembly to flight line. MTE provides the test equipment, the test procedures, and the on-floor test support needed to ensure functional compliance of every aircraft throughout the build-cycle.
This individual selected for this position will be embedded in developing and maintaining detailed System Checkout Procedures, the design and management of test equipment, the development and automation of software, and systems anomaly resolution. The day-to-day tasking will include working with design engineers and shop floor personnel to support production of our various platforms.

This position requires a detail-oriented and organized candidate with demonstrated technical proficiency and capability. Strong communication skills – written and verbal – are required to successfully interface with various departments within Aero.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering. Technology-related degree plan also acceptable, e.g., Electrical Engineering Technology, Aeronautics Engineering Technology.
• Degrees with Manufacturing Testing competency will be considered
• Desire to obtain an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in ‘hands-on’ applications of engineering principles
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated analytical troubleshooting abilities to solve complex system-level problems
• Member of the SME, SAE, ASME, or other similar technical organization
• Design, build club/project experience (i.e., SAE Formula and Baja)
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
• Ability to succeed in dynamic, elevated-urgency environments with multi-directional deliverables
• Software programming experience
• Previous manufacturing or operations experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
