Job Description:

As a valued member of Fluor’s Mining & Metals Business Line, you will have the opportunity to work in a team with proven capabilities and experience in successfully delivering large, complex projects for mining, metals, and fertilizer clients around the globe.

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) partners with the President of the Mining & Metals Business Line and global Human Resource (HR) teams to provide consultation and support in the implementation of the talent strategy. The position serves as a strategic business partner to the Business Line Leadership and is a trusted advisor in people issues. This position primarily acts as a consultant on all issues related to HR. The HRBP is a proactive communicator and change agent, someone who can successfully balance employee needs with business objectives to create integrated solutions.

This position functionally reports to the Urban Solutions HR Segment Lead. This position is intended to be performed from one of Fluor’s major offices but work location is flexible for the right candidate.

This position provides leadership in the organization and is primarily engaged in management activities. The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs.

The purpose of this position is to analyze, plan, coordinate, manage, and execute complex projects, programs, and strategic initiatives within a global strategic Business Unit for the enhancement of the workforce. This position is responsible for developing, administering, and directing HR policies, programs, and practices while ensuring compliance with company policy and local practices and regulations.

The Human Resources Business Partner role contributes to company performance by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organization development strategies in support of the business objectives. Will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: talent acquisition; employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application, performance and compensation management consultation; project support, and talent management consultation. May carry out additional responsibilities to include diversity, equity & inclusion, organizational design, employee development initiatives and training.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:

•Act as an HR business partner to oversee development, implementation and administration of HR services, programs, procedures, policies, and guidelines

•Oversee that the development, implementation, and administration of HR procedures, policies, and guidelines are designed to enhance the ability to attract, develop, and retain qualified employees

•Partner with executive management and effectively interface with operational management to ensure that HR services, systems, processes and programs are properly designed and executed, and the workforce needs of the business and company are met

•Support the set up and execution of international projects partnering closely with Regional HR, Global Mobility COE, Finance, and Legal

•Collaborate with management to address attraction, employee development and retention

•Oversight for Human Resource (HR) program implementation, out of cycle negotiations, and ongoing workforce management issues

•Provide leadership in organizational development, design and capability including change implementation with a focus on: leadership, employee and team engagement and development

•Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the business and develop and communicate HR initiatives including management of succession planning in line with Fluor practice

•Interpret budgetary, workforce analytics, and metrics to properly assess the business workforce needs

•Negotiate life cycle processing events for Executives, such as on-boarding, off-boarding, and transfers, etc.

•Communicate, lead, and direct collaboratively within the context of a globally diverse environment

•Communicate regularly within Fluor, including senior and executive management, and externally (i.e., candidates, benefits providers, external vendors, etc.)

•Assess and mitigate risk

•Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback

•Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations

•Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action

•Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines

•Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards

•Adhere to and support Fluor's HSE and Sustainability Policies

•Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job

•May need to travel to attend to business related matters. This would offices, projects, clients, etc both domestically and internationally.

•Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

•Other duties as assigned
