Robert Half Customer Service / Supply Chain Representative in Greenville, South Carolina

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Supply Chain/Purchasing Specialist. This role involves a blend of customer service and supply chain management tasks within the logistics sector. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of functions, ranging from customer order processing to inventory forecasting.

*This position is mostly remote but the candidate will be required to come to Greenville office for special meetings & events (couple times per year). The candidate must be able to commute with no issues so is preferred the person is located within an hour from Greenville.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer orders

• Maintaining customer records with high attention to detail

• Handling and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions as necessary

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for tasks such as VLOOKUP and managing spreadsheets

• Managing supply chain logistics to ensure smooth operations

• Implementing supply chain management strategies for better efficiency

• Predicting inventory needs through precise forecasting

• Handling raw data and converting it into useful information for decision making

• Managing lead times to ensure timely delivery of goods

• Processing purchase orders as part of supply chain operations.

Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating progression and impact

• Proven experience in Customer Service

• Proficiency in Order Entry

• Strong understanding of Supply Chain Logistics and Supply Chain Management

• Experience in Inventory forecasting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a strong emphasis on VLOOKUP and Spreadsheets

• Ability to handle and analyze Raw Data

• Knowledge of Lead Times and Purchase Orders

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team

• Proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
