Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedHigh Level Construction Managerto join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of construction management, purchasing, and field operations. As a key member of our team, the Construction Manager will be instrumental in driving project success from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial constraints.
Utilize spreadsheets and financial tools to compile budgets, forecast costs, and analyze project financial performance.
Identify and engage with contractors and suppliers, leveraging market knowledge to initiate and sustain productive partnerships.
Oversee field operations and site management, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project timelines, and quality standards.
Assume responsibility for purchasing management, including procurement negotiations and vendor relations.
Wear multiple hats within a small company environment, actively participating in various facets of project execution.
Direct Reports:
Initially oversee assistant roles on each site as projects commence, providing guidance and support.
As the company expands, potentially manage multiple sites with direct oversight of various subcontractors and team members.
Opportunities to oversee operations in multiple markets for exceptionally qualified candidates.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction management with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
Expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control within the construction industry.
Strong technical proficiency, particularly in the use of spreadsheets and financial software for budget compilation and analysis.
Comprehensive knowledge of local construction markets, contractors, and suppliers in the Greenville, SC area.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing and motivating teams effectively.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and willingness to be involved in day-to-day operations ("in the weeds").
Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Relevant certifications or licenses in construction management or related disciplines.
Prior experience in a small company environment where multitasking and flexibility are essential.
