Robert Half is seeking a bookkeeper to become part of a growing CPA firm in Greenville, South Carolina. The Bookkeeper's duties include managing various client accounts, preparing tax returns and financial statements, Payroll and maintaining precise records. The position requires expertise in QuickBooks and a solid grasp of public accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions

• Prepare and reconcile sales tax returns, business licenses, and 1099s

• Prepare and reconcile quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and W2s

• Ensure general ledger accounts reconcile with backup documentation

• Perform monthly and quarterly write-up work to produce financial statements

• Manage bank reconciliations and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Communicate effectively with assigned clients, responding to inquiries and providing support as needed

• Visit client offices as required and assist clients with QuickBooks queries over the phone or on-site

• Maintain proficiency in Word and Excel, and learn to navigate various government agency websites for required online filings

• Prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines, managing workload effectively under pressure

• Continually learn and adapt to new challenges and work scenarios.

Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role within a CPA firm or other related industries

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting tasks

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Previous experience in Public Accounting is highly desirable

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

• Professional certification in Bookkeeping or relevant field is a plus
