Position Summary:
The Biotech Proposal Leader will generate new business proposals for services offerings across the Pharma Services Group for our Biotech customers. This role will partner in the development of coordinated solutions across the customers full drug development journey, from early phase material product and development through to the clinic.
How will you make an impact?
The ideal candidate will bring extensive service industry expertise across Pharma/Biotech/CDMO sectors and will be adept at generating proposal and developing strategies tailored to Biotech customer accounts while representing the full breadth of our organization's offerings including drug substance large molecule, drug product sterile and clinical supplies pack and label.
Key Responsibilities
Generates Proposals, Work Statements, and Change of Scopes for new programs. Ensures accuracy of these documents, including resource estimates, scope, pricing, and future revisions.
Collaborates with Business Development, Technical Program Design, Business Management, Program Management, Finance and Operational leadership teams, as well as ensure alignment with internal partners.
Develops and delivers tailored and competitive solutions for Biotech segment needs while able to work across different BU’s/Divisions to develop a coordinated customer strategy
Operates in a matrixed organization, across various time zones and countries, navigating technical requirements and operational limitations with speed and agility.
Pragmatic, proactive leader who operates with high level of autonomy.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
Lead and participate in proposal review presentations to internal teams and clients.
Availability to travel up to 10-15% of the time.
Coordinates the transition of project information with technical contacts & project management teams for all awarded projects.
Support and lead process improvement initiatives.
Works well in fast paced environment while balancing differing needs across multiple partners.
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 6 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
3 years of technical and/or proposal writing experience preferably in CDMO or CRO space.
Strong communication and influencing skills
Continuous improvement mentality with the ability to drive innovation
Experience leading within a matrix organization
Self-motivated with a strong bias for action
Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word as well as Salesforce.com and Smartsheet database.
