Job Description Summary

The Advance Manufacturing Repair Technology Facilities and Automation Leader will be responsible for the leadership of a team of engineers and specialists to execute all activities related to Facilities and Automation

In this role you will be responsible for all equipment installs, coordination with local and global site leadership teams, all activities related to Safety and training, and support local event planning and execution.

Our leader will also lead the Automation team in the execution of projects and industrialization support GE Vernova Gas Power. This will be a high visibility role that will interface with internal and external customers, represent the Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology team in events supporting customers and GE Vernova leadership teams, and coordinate with various leadership team across Greenville, and lead a special process team of engineers focused on Automation.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Lead engineers and specialists in the execution of equipment installs in the Repair Development Center, Advanced Manufacturing Works, and Gas Turbine Outage Simulator locations adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

  • Assist with equipment upgrades from purchase through installation

  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis for possible changes to processes and/or equipment

  • Lead a team of engineers focused on Automation supporting our Gas Power Supply Chain partners.

  • Recommend approaches to improve infrastructure tools and processes in AMRT.

  • Formulate strategy and implement plans to meet goals and directives in Safety.

  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to facility problems.

  • Provide leadership to other personnel; mentor others in the organization

  • Assure proper documentation is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with site, local, and regional policies and procedures

  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and risks to timelines, budget, and resources related to projects and facilities

  • Lead and direct activities and events in RDC, AMW, and GTOS

  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks

  • Coordinate with Site and Business representatives for EHS, utilities, and safety

  • Coordinate with RVS and new unit supply chain partners on projects to improve automation within manufacturing locations

  • Communicate progress to all levels of the organization.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in manufacturing, service center, or engineering

What will make you stand out

  • Strong familiarity with equipment installs and processes.

  • Familiarity with facility management

  • Experience in process automation and robotics within Gas Power

  • Additional experience in manufacturing or component repair for industrial gas turbines

  • Experience in Lean Methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers

  • Develops a strong team and breeds positive moral across teams

U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $ 127,900.00 - 213,100.00 Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least Oct 31/2024.

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
