Job Title: US Supplier Quality InspectorJob Description
You will drive and manage the performance of your supply base from a QDCF-TSR standpoint, addressing low-performing suppliers and providing strong technical assistance. Your mission is to return suppliers to health, ensure zero tolerance for impacting operations or customer satisfaction, and support resourcing activities away from troubled suppliers. You will collaborate with global teams, ensuring adequate performance, capacity, and flexibility throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities
Analyze supplier capacity and investment requests
Engage actively with suppliers and supply chains
Assess supplier weaknesses accurately and provide solutions
Monitor high-risk supplier development issues to prevent crisis
Develop and drive supplier problem-solving techniques
Fix and develop supplier production systems and processes
Drive supplier operational excellence
Set focused priorities to reach objectives
Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications
University degree in engineering, or supply chain management preferred
5 years of experience in supply chain quality and development or production
Experience in automotive or heavy commercial truck industry REQUIRED
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Accountability and project management abilities
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Desire to work in a collaborative team
Strong integrity and creativity
Flexibility and preparedness to travel with short notice
Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, lean manufacturing, crisis management, and risk management
Experience with root cause analysis and Six Sigma
Work Environment
Open work environment with no assigned desks, but all team members sit in the same area. Lockers are provided. Travel required up to 40% of the time, primarily on the East coast, but also to suppliers in IN, MI, and Mexico.
