job summary:

A Sr. Design Studio Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The role requires a dynamic and skilled individual to support the Product Design team in a fast-paced environment, managing CAD data, designing prototypes, and collaborating across functions to ensure the effective translation of design concepts into practical engineering solutions.

responsibilities:

• Design and develop armatures.

• Create CAD models and drawing packages for RFQs (Request for Quotes).

• Contact suppliers for prototype quotes as needed.

• Work internally and externally with the Design Studio.

• Assist in planning events and prototype modeling activities.

• Facilitate cooperation between the Design Studio and Engineering.

• Identify and resolve conflicts between feature requirements and technical feasibility.

• Ensure technical parameters are integrated into the design.

Skills:

• Must be competent in Catia V5 (minimum 10,000hrs), with Creo knowledge being an asset.

• Experience and ability to own given tasks and proactively move forward in a clearly defined plan of execution.

• Excellent communication skills both verbally and visually with the ability to propose engineering design solutions in support of the Design team.

• Building cooperation among individuals and departments, sharing information and resources, and working to achieve group goals and outcomes.

Experience: Minimum 5yrs experience within engineering and dealing with components.
