A Mechanical Engineer Senior is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. This role will design and develop cooling and exhaust system components for internal combustion engine powertrains, ensuring alignment with quality, delivery, cost, and feature targets while supporting modular system optimization and project delivery.

responsibilities:

• Oversee operational responsibilities for day-to-day product development, including new designs and modifications to existing products.

• Perform analysis and draw conclusions based on given products and procedures.

• Focus on technical expertise within a defined area, with minimal interaction across other technical domains.

• Design components and sub-components for Powertrain Installation - Internal Combustion Engines (PWTI - ICE).

• Ensure new designs meet business objectives, including quality, delivery, cost, and feature (QDCF) targets.

• Address maintenance issues or ensure timely project delivery through applicable component releases.

• Assist engineers in developing modular systems and components to optimize part diversity and enhance efficiency.
