What You Will Do

  • JOB SUMMARY

Manage production maintenance work requests, required maintenance activities, external labor and material logistics. Plan and schedule services by executable tasks for work centers and contractors. Assign executable tasks to maintenance work centers; create and maintain long-term and short-term plans and schedules. Assume a critical role in the evolution of the preventive maintenance program, supporting its development, execution, reliability, and performance enhancement. Supervise maintenance shops as needed, directing the adjusters in daily equipment maintenance and repairs, addressing daily parts issues, motivating employees and addressing performance issues to manage and achieve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) goals and provide support to the MBU. Implement Predictive Maintenance. Demonstrate competency to perform the duties of the Production Maintenance Supervisor when needed.

  • WHAT YOU WILL DO

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign production maintenance tasks to maintenance work centers and outside contractors in accordance with the Master Agreement and established job craft.

  • Analyze production maintenance work requests by researching solutions to problems, identifying labor and material requirements, and creating executable tasks for work centers. Evaluate each request to ensure compliance with building/electrical code, EHS policies, GMP policies and FM global requirements.

  • Support the development of the annual production maintenance department budget to maintain productivity, quality and safety standards while meeting or lowering budgeted cost, specifically in parts management.

  • Schedule production maintenance work considering work center capacity, contractor availability, workload leveling, and company goals. Recommend the use of outside contractors to enhance the internal work force to meet company goals. Communicate schedules/plans to engineers, maintenance supervision, upper management, and craftsmen.

  • Manage SAP master data for preventive maintenance plans and company assets.

  • Submit purchase requisitions as necessary to schedule external services, procure parts, and arrange other necessary services to support maintenance and factory operations.

  • Document goods receipts for services rendered in SAP.

  • Identify and resolve invoice coding errors from Basware.

  • Relieve the Maintenance Supervisor as necessary for weekends, holidays, LOA's, etc.

  • Provide support to all MBUs through participation in team meetings, improving PMs and other activities as needed.

  • Builds strong relationships with OEM’s suppliers to assist troubleshooting and maintain up to date revisions on equipment and technical documentation.

  • Coordinate the MMP/APS program, managing vendor relationships as well as the parts inventory program.

  • Manage the annual capital expenditure (CapX) program.

  • Implement and govern Lock Out-Tag Out-Try Out (LOTOTO)/Machine Guarding program including specifications, protocols, evaluation and training.

  • Evaluate and stock consumables/tools used by production maintenance personnel annually, including AS05 inventory.

  • Guide the implementation of new standards set by Manufacturing Excellence (ManEX) or Group

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering discipline with 3+ years of experience in maintenance of equipment for facilities OR High School Diploma / GED with 7+ years of maintenance planning experience.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Knowledge of:

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.

  • SAP or similar ERP system

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light objects (under 10 lbs.)

  • Reach and grasp objects / Hand eye coordination

  • Walks, sits, or stands for prolonged periods.

  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

  • Identify and distinguish color and shades of color.

  • Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment.

  • Work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury.

  • Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape.
