TEKsystems Investment Credit Analyst in Greensboro, North Carolina

Description

Responsible for a comprehensive investment credit risk analysis function. This includes management of the function and all credit related work concerning depository institutions, security issuers, specific securities, broker/dealers, and other entities. The function also includes reviews of vendors, credit unions, and other related organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts analysis and collaborates with the financial analyst on items concerning pre-purchase and ongoing analysis of depositories, security issuers, specific securities, broker/dealers, and other entities as required by credit policy, NCUA regulations, and departmental procedures.

  • This includes research and analysis on new entities, sectors, etc. in which the corporate may have never invested.

  • Makes credit recommendations for above and collaborates with executive management as necessary on credit decisions.

  • Ensures credit procedures are up to date and assists with policy review and necessary updates.

  • Attends internal asset/liability committee, enterprise risk management committee, and the credit committee in support of credit work and the credit risk function.

  • Monitors corporate’s credit position and investment portfolio compliance with all policy and regulatory mandates relating to concentration, ratings, CECL, and other pertinent metrics.

  • Collaborates with staff regarding periodic reporting to evidence compliance of same for management and board of directors.

  • Monitors and recommends corporate credit relationships for inclusion on credit watch list.

*All employees will be responsible for understanding and complying with the letter and spirit of all government regulations including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, which apply to the Credit Union’s specific operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Ability to write accurate, comprehensive analysis documents using detailed information from multiple sources that present a clear line of reasoning and credit opinion.

  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

  • Ability to accurately calculate and analyze key financial metrics that pertain to financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement), as well as fixed income securities.

  • Understanding of corporate financial statements, fixed income securities and markets, and familiarity with securities industry prospectus.

  • Ability to read financial statements, securities prospectus, and industry analytical research and formulate a credit position based on those documents and own experience.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00
