About this role

The Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) is a global 12-month program where you are offered the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and diverse training modules. You will get the chance to use your technical and creative engineering skills while gaining valuable experience working with real products on real business topics.

The Volvo Group North America Engineering Graduate Program (EGP) does not offer current or future sponsorship. Individuals with temporary visas or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for the program.

What you`ll be doing:

As an Associate Engineer, Connected Services you`ll be:

• Lead the work and the resources within cross-functional teams.

• Contribute to defining product QDCCF in co-operation with cross-functional network and commodity PM

• Define product QDCCF for the engineering task, meaning responsibility to coordinate cross-functional work to ensure product quality, delivery, project and product cost and features

• Define level 4 (component/system) time plan including the most important cross-functional milestones

• Define, create and maintain product and component capabilities for Connected Services in relevant systems and tools (CoCoS, Volvo Connect and Service Configurator)

• Be the NA key user and SME for the connected services systems.

• Validate and troubleshoot service deployment to trucks.

• Escalate deviations and unresolved issues to commodity PM.

• Secure all needed verification is executed to achieve a quality deliver

• Secure faults found are corrected for both hardware and software

• Quick learner with good communication skills

• Systematic, analytic, pro-active and open minded

• High customer and business focus, with good people skills

• Eager to grow as a person and professional, striving for excellence.

You will be part of Vehicle Engineering, a customer focused team delivering sustainable transport solutions through projects, utilizing global platforms and application knowledge to secure profitability. We are a highly skilled and knowledgeable team with a customer focused mindset to deliver the highest quality products within the Conventional Range.

Requirements:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in one of the following fields: Data Science, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Automation, Electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems or similar.

• Master’s degree is preferable.

• You have either just graduated or graduated within the past two years.

• Fluent in English and have an international mind-set.
