As the Manager of Electrical Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in leading this dynamic team, fostering innovation, and refining our electrical systems to keep us at the peak of the industry.
About the Position
We are seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality electrical and electronic systems. This role provides technical and strategic leadership in electrical architecture, PCB development, embedded systems, and power electronics, ensuring our technology remains innovative, scalable, and efficient. In this role, you will:
- Lead & Innovate – Provide leadership in electrical and electronic system design, driving development strategies and ensuring technical excellence.
- Manage Projects & Resources – Oversee R&D and technical programs, leveraging both internal and third-party resources to create new and improved electrical solutions.
- Ensure Project Success – Define meaningful milestones, conduct periodic reviews, and ensure projects stay on schedule and meet business objectives.
- Develop & Mentor Talent – Identify and implement programs to develop electrical engineers and key technical resources, fostering a high-performing team.
- Drive Collaboration – Work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, and quality teams to align electrical system development with business goals.
- Optimize Electrical Processes – Develop and maintain best practices for design, testing, validation, and manufacturing readiness.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain relationships with third-party contractors, suppliers, and senior-level team members.
- Monitor & Improve – Track program performance for schedule, technical soundness, quality, field reliability, and financial objectives, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Strategic Growth – Develop outsourcing strategies in partnership with procurement teams to optimize resources.
- Travel – Domestic and international travel anticipated to be 10-15%.
About You
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- 12+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 3+ years in a management role.
Technical Expertise:
Strong background in electrical system design, including analog and digital circuits, PCB development, and embedded systems.
- Experience with electrical design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, CREO, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Experience with requirement and development tracking tools (Jira, Jama, etc.).
- Proven ability to develop scalable electrical architectures for diverse product lines.
Leadership & Business Acumen:
Track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience in business case development, cost control, scheduling, and risk management.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Collaboration & Execution:
Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and build strong vendor/contractor relationships.
- Experience with product development, production environments, and system integration.
It Would Be Great If You Had:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or MBA.
- Experience in microcontroller design, ARM processors, and FPGA-based systems.
- 5+ years of experience leading full product lifecycle development from concept to production.
- 5+ years of expertise in motor control systems.
About the total compensation package:
Salary - $146,500 - 187,500 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Relocation – This position may qualify for relocation.
