Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Sr Staff Accountant in Greenbrae, California. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our finance team, focusing on analyzing our financial status, preparing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, and making significant contributions to financial decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex financial reports and records to ensure our company's financial health

• Accurately prepare budgeting reports and forecasts within specified timelines

• Collaborate with internal teams for audits and coordinate with external auditors

• Produce monthly financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries

• Make informed recommendations based on financial analysis and projections

• Review and suggest modifications to accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency

• Train and mentor entry level staff to enhance their skills and knowledge

• Conduct variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations for accuracy

• Assist with financial and tax audits to ensure compliance

• Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to maintain financial integrity. Requirements • The candidate must hold at least 1+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing is required.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processing is required.

• The candidate should have experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations.

• The candidate should be adept at managing and maintaining the General Ledger.

• The candidate should have experience in making Journal Entries.

• The candidate should be familiar with the Month End Close process.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting tasks is required.

• Experience with Oracle for accounting purposes is desirable.

• The candidate should be familiar with QuickBooks for accounting tasks.

• Experience with SAP for accounting purposes is desirable.
