Job Description

One (1) Qualified Inspector, Level III responsible for conducting inspections related to traffic control, environmental measures, layout, construction methods, materials, and all matters pertaining to the project's construction. Construction Inspector assess the quality of the contractor's daily work, review and recommend acceptance or rejection of daily reports submitted by the contractor. The CI-III ensures that procedures adhere to the approved Quality Control Plan and established protocols, reviews material submittals and testing procedures and results for compliance with the contract and updates the project Material Register. Additionally, the CI-III measures and records quantities of materials placed, performs takeoffs to verify compliance with required quantities, and may assist in finalizing quantities for the monthly progress estimate. They may also maintain the daily project diary, complete Inspector's Daily Reports (IDR), and other necessary forms. The CI-III must possess the ability to coordinate and schedule tasks effectively and demonstrate proficiency in internet usage, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and scheduling software such as Primavera or equivalent.

It is desired that the inspector possess experience in highway construction, particularly in tasks such as installing and monitoring temporary traffic control, rehabilitating bridge approaches and ramps, replacing damaged guardrail sections, performing concrete repairs, and handling other miscellaneous works.

-6 years horizontal construction experience

-NICET III, EIT, or Degree null
