JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Green Bay Dressed Beef LLC (Acme Street) an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Utilities - Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic III at our Acme plant. * Maintain, disassemble, reassemble, repair, test, troubleshoot, and inspect industrial ammonia refrigeration system, boilers, air compressors and/or associated equipment to include preventative maintenance. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. * Ensure all safety and lock/out tag/out procedures are followed, if applicable. * Train employees as needed. * Analyze and identify new equipment needs in order to improve quality and reduce costs. * Maintain and develop P&ID drawings for refrigeration systems. * Maintain and develop logs and required paperwork. * Maintain, troubleshoot, and/or repair water treatment system for boilers and condensers with help of outside vendor. * Participate in PSM team projects and meetings. * Assist with establishing and maintaining PM (Preventative Maintenance) programs. * Assist with foreperson or supervisor duties when someone is absent. * Must be willing to assist with repairs and/or maintenance at Northland or Cold Storage. * Must be willing and available to report work with short notice as needed. * NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required): * Must be 18 years of age or older. * Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. * Must have a valid driver\'s license to drive between facilities. * Must be able to withstand long periods in cold, warm, or wet/damp environments. * Must be willing and able to work overtime (daily and/or weekends) as needed. * Must provide own basic tools (set of standard and metric combination wrenches, socket set, screwdriver set, hammer, tape measure, adjustable wrenches, and channel lock). * Must be able to successfully complete training: * Safety * Safe Quality Food (SQF) * Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) * Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) * Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) * Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) * Food defense * Lockout/Tagout * Forklift * Walker * OSHA 10 hour * First aid Preferred Qualifications: * Ammonia Operator I, and II certification. * 7 years\' experience working with industrial ammonia refrigeration, steam boilers and air compressors. * 2 years of hands-on experience in Process Safety Management (PSM). * 2 years of experience in Preventative Maintenance (PM). * Prior experience using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools and the ability to read and work from drawings and blueprints. * Demonstrated knowledge of tig, stick, and mig welding OR successful completion of tech school course to obtain certificate. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of and ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments. * Knowledge and ability to safely work with anhydrous ammonia. * Knowledge and ability to safely work with boilers and steam systems. * Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM). * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to attend work consistently. * Ability to work safely, wear PPE, and follow safety rules. * Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization. * Be attentive to detail. * Maintain a clean work area. * Display a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
