JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary:The Tool Room Manager has oversight of the tool room, building and grounds and maintenance of company owned vehicles. This role includes safely managing the storage and distribution of tools and equipment, processes, tracking and procurement, including alignment with budget. Monitors expenses and makes cost saving recommendations. Ensures that all tools are in good working condition, adequately stored, and available to employees as needed. This position requires excellent organizational skills. The Manager will routinely review and audit processes and programs to ensure success of the department. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for day-to-day operational needs of the tool rooms, company fleet/assets, buildings and grounds owned and operated by Jamar and located in the Green Bay region. Hire, train and lead tool room staff seasonally, or as needed to meet business objectives. Ensure proper parts inventory management and organization; performs regular inspections to evaluate processes, ensure quality inspections/repairs for tools, fleet and equipment. Follow company processes for insurance compliance, completion of jobs and ensures overhead PO\'s procedure is followed for any asset and tool related purchase. Ensure tool and asset tracking software use, reporting, compliance and effectiveness. Maintain Jamar\'s DOT certification and ensures compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. Track and evaluate operating results and performance against objectives. Ensure alignment within budget targets, tracks and report any business-related variances. Develop, implement and ensure processes are in place to maintain the safety, cleanliness and order of the tool room, warehouse, and building and grounds, including forecasting for equipment, product/tool inventory and stock on hand. Maintains positive relationships with vendors, department managers and other key stake holders; serve as the first point of contact for any questions or concerns that arise related to fleet, assets or buildings and grounds. Provides support for safety, quality, billing and collection as requested Perform other duties as assigned Education / Experience: Five years of fleet, operations, logistics, or related equipment management scope and operational responsibilities, including vendor management and purchasing experience. Proven skill and effectiveness as a leader, with the ability to define and communicate objectives, delegate and prioritize assignments, and accomplish desired results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, clients and vendors. Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Office and customized tools and fleet systems.
