Description

This is a Hybrid opportunity out of their office in Green Bay. We will likely approach this as a Contract to hire, might be opportunity for a Direct Placement for the perfect candidate.

Salary is $74,000- $105,000 based on experience.

Job Description:

The Senior Network Administrator position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and scaling of our client's network infrastructure across multiple sites. This position will also serve as the technical expert for complex projects across the environment. Qualified candidates will have detailed knowledge of complex networks that rapidly changes to support the growth and development of our client. This candidate will need the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic health care environment, with the ability to effectively communicate to many different audiences.

Cisco Networking Shop

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), SolarWinds, and/or Fortinet preferred.

Minimum of seven to ten years of experience in managing network equipment preferred.

Experience with Cisco ISE is a plus

The Senior Network Administrator at our client is focused on managing network infrastructure across multiple sites and ensuring that the network systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred in Information Technology, Networking, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Certifications: Cisco Certified Network/Security certifications, Fortinet certifications, or equivalent are preferred, this role requires high-level expertise in networking and security technologies.

Experience: 7-10 years of experience is required in managing network equipment. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with complex network systems.

Job Specifics:

Work Schedule: 7:30am-4:30pm | Days | Call rotation

Essential Job Duties:

Network and Security Implementation and Support:

This role involves managing a 24/7/365 network environment, which means uptime and reliability are crucial, especially for multi-tiered healthcare applications.

Supports Key Networks:

This includes managing and maintaining internet connectivity, WAN, LAN, and WLAN, all of which are essential for the healthcare environment, where any connectivity failure can disrupt services.

Cisco Networking Knowledge:

Proficiency in Cisco networking protocols like OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP is critical. These protocols are used to route traffic efficiently and ensure network reliability, especially in large, complex networks. Data Center routing and switching knowledge with experience with Cisco ACI a plus.

Fortinet Firewall Management:

Understanding and managing Fortinet firewall policies is essential to maintain security and prevent unauthorized access or breaches in the network.

VPN & Network Security:

Experience with VPN technologies, especially in healthcare environments, where remote access is common, is necessary. Familiarity with tools like Cisco Meraki, RADIUS/TACACS+, and Cisco ISE/DNAC for authentication and identity management is important for network security.

Automated Monitoring:

Proficiency with monitoring tools like SolarWinds and Cisco DNA to proactively identify issues is key to maintaining network health. These tools help with troubleshooting and ensuring systems remain operational.

Documentation and Process Improvement:

Developing and maintaining up-to-date documentation is crucial for troubleshooting, auditing, and scaling the network infrastructure. Process improvement also indicates an emphasis on continuous improvement.

Leadership & Collaboration:

The role involves working with leadership to architect future infrastructure needs and managing relationships with vendors. There is also a mentoring aspect, where the senior network administrator would guide junior staff.

Troubleshooting:

Using tools like Wireshark to diagnose and resolve network issues is a critical skill for this position.

Emerging Technologies:

Staying up-to-date with emerging network technologies will ensure the team is always leveraging the most effective and secure solutions.

Change Management:

Managing network changes and following a structured change management process is essential to minimize downtime and ensure network stability.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00
