Full Salary Ranges: Level II: $88,200 - $106,296 Annually Level III: $98,800 - $134,464 Annually Level IV: $108,400 - $157,200 Annually *Salary offer dependent upon experience and qualifications at the time of hire.
Hiring Bonus: Level II: Offering a $2,000 hiring bonus for new hires in this engineering and project management role. In addition, there will be an additional $2,000 bonus upon the successful completion of the 6-month probationary period. Level III & IV: Offering a $5,000 hiring bonus for new hires in this engineering and project management role. In addition, there will be an additional $5,000 bonus upon the successful completion of the 6-month probationary period.

Job Summary: The City of Greeley is seeking a Civil Engineer III or IV. This is a mid to senior level engineering position, reporting to the Chief Engineer in the Engineering division of the Water and Sewer Department. The Civil Engineer III or IV will provide project management of simple to complex water treatment plants projects concurrently. Areas of responsibility include the planning, budgeting, permitting, design, and construction at the City's two water treatment plants with significant input on expansion and rehabilitation of the plants. The Engineer will work with operations and engineering staff to optimize and improve the water treatment plants for operations, water quality, pump systems, efficiency, water use, and long-term buildout of the plants. Responsibilities will include permitting, project planning, budgeting, design, construction management, management of consultants and contractors, and coordination with stakeholders and the public. The successful candidate will provide guidance to City staff on water quality, infrastructure, project administration, and requires self-motivation, water treatment plant experience, sound engineering judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and manage significant responsibility. Experience, Knowledge, Skills: Minimum Requirements Level II: -3 to 5 years of experience in municipal engineering or similar related work experience in a non-governmental environment. -Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) that must have ability to obtain Colorado Professional Engineers license within one Level III: -7+ years of experience in municipal engineering or similar work experience in a non-governmental environment. -Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE). Level IV: -15+ years of experience in municipal engineering or similar related work experience in a non-governmental environment. -Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE). All Levels: -Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, or a closely related field. -7+ years of experience in the design, construction, and oversight of water projects that includes knowledge of the materials, design methods, and construction techniques used in the design. -Candidates should have skills and understanding of software packages relating to ArcMap/GIS, and hydraulic modeling. -Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
