City Of Greeley Facilities Technician - Ice Haus in Greeley, Colorado

Anticipated Hiring Range: $15.14 - $17.04 hourly

This position duration will be for 6 months/maximum of 1,040 hours from date of hire.

Job Summary: The Facility Service Technician position is an essential part of the Department of Culture, Parks, and Recreation. This position is responsible for facility cleaning and maintenance at one of six CPRD facilities that may include the UCCC, Recreation Center, Senior Center, Family Funplex, Ice Haus, or Rodarte Center. This position will primarily be located at the Ice Haus. In addition, this position is expected to communicate effectively with their supervisor and various CPRD staff for setup and tear down of events.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills:

Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver license required and good driving record.

Preferred Two (2)+ years related experience within public facilities. Previous experience with large events (e.g., arenas).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities. Essential Functions:

Facility Cleaning Directly responsible for overseeing and performing the cleaning of the Ice Haus. Operates small equipment such as buffers, vacuums, extractors, lifts, and auto scrubbing machines. Provides basic building upkeep and maintenance including changing light bulbs, painting, and wall patching. Assists in deep cleaning projects at multiple facili ies during closures. Communicates with supervisor all custodial and cleaning supply needs.

Customer Service and Event Setup Provides setup and tear down for facilities events. Demonstrates a high level of internal and external customer service. Communicates effectively with staff to ensure event needs are met.

General Knowledge Effectively communicates with co-workers, supervisors, and public. Handles difficult situations with facility guests with patience, good judgement, and diplomacy.
