2024 JBS Engineering Apprenticeship

Responsibilities:

• Gain understanding of cost effective methods of manufacturing.

• Assist with detailed layouts of plant facilities to optimize utilization and product flow.

• Analyze labor efficiencies, cost of production, and review capital projects and analyze budgets.

• Learn company safety policy.

• Shadow Engineers, Maintenance, and leaders to gain experience in engineering.

• Audit systems such as Waste Water, Boiler & Refrigeration, and Maintenance Planning & Scheduling.

• Investigate, in cooperation with other departments, areas of quality improvement, revenue improvement, cost reduction, process improvements, yield measurement, equipment and facility maintenance, and provide supply chain insights.

• Gain understanding of production processes for food manufacturing.

• Help ensure compliance with food safety.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Active enrollment in Greeley District 6 Academies and Pathways programs required

• Minimum age requirement: 16 years

• Dependable transportation essential

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation:

• $17/hour

This Apprenticeship program will be located at the Greeley Corporate Headquarters.
