Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing:
• Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best
practices.
• Calculate and process special pays; oversee the distribution of paychecks or electronic
transfers to bank accounts.
- Benefits Administration:
• Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, dentaland
vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
• Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system to new
employees.
• Assist employees with any benefit-related queries or issues.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
• Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
• Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of
employee data.
- Compliance and Auditing:
• Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions, and
terminations is accurate and timely.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new
legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; advise management on neededactions.
- Employee Queries:
• Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests.
