Josselyn IOP Bilingual Family Therapist in Grayslake, Illinois

Job Summary

The IOP Family Therapist is responsible for providing individual and family therapy services to adolescents ages 8-18 in the IOP program. This position may also include assisting with providing group therapy services as needed for coverage. The IOP Family Therapist may also including maintaining a small caseload of outpatient clients. The clinician is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

  • Facilite individual and family sessions for IOP clients and families; facilitate group sessions as needed.

  • Providing guidance/support to clients and family members to help promote achievement of goals and encourage progress throughout program, this may include email, phone or in person contact.

  • Complete all necessary documentation in EMR, adhere to quality and compliance requirements.

  • Providing education to family members about effective ways to support children and adolescents including following through with safety plans, encouraging implementation of skill use at home, increasing positive communication, addressing family dynamics, and creating home contracts that relate to behaviors/rules/expectations within the home environment.

  • Participate in weekly staffing meetings and clinical supervision to offer feedback and insight gained from family sessions.

Qualifications

  • Have two years post master's family therapy experience (preferred)

  • Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) (required)

  • Hold the following licenses or certifications: LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (preferred)

  • Fluent in Spanish (required)

  • Have prior experience working with children, family and adolescents and experience in a partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred)
