Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for several quality assurance technicians for large-scale utility-scale solar sites in NC, SC, and VA. These technicians will perform quality assurance checks across various trades and areas of the project, including electrical, mechanical, and civil quality checks. Tasks include checking bolts with torque guns, trench checks, wire management checks, and checking inverters/combiner boxes. They will input data into company QA software (Procore) for record-keeping purposes.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil, mechanical, and electrical inspections throughout all construction phases to ensure quality standards are met.

• Work under the guidance of the Quality Site Manager or Regional Quality Assurance Manager to execute the site Quality Plan.

• Complete daily inspection reports, record and document inspection results, and ensure reports and photos are uploaded to the system.

• Ensure the successful completion of daily inspection reports.

• Assist with project-level quality reports by collecting and summarizing data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge in electrical testing, including DC/AC Voltage Testing (VOC), Insulation Resistance Testing (IRT), Very Low Frequency (VLF), and NETA Transformer Testing.

• Understanding of medium voltage fundamentals, utility, overhead, and pole equipment.

• Experience working with PV racking and tracking systems (commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, manufacturer training, and/or certification).

Work Environment

Work will be performed outside in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, as well as in an office trailer.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gray Court, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
