Job Summary

As Director of Nursing for Women’s Services, you will oversee nursing practice in various healthcare settings. You will focus on business development to drive growth in the Women’s service line while providing leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to the communities we serve. The Director is responsible for the leadership of all departments within the Women’s Service Line, supporting the mission, vision, and values of Baylor Scott and White Health Grapevine with a focus on quality & patient safety. Your leadership will ensure the alignment of departments across the service line and beyond to support the growth of the service line while considering market trends and community needs. The director will establish effective working relationships within the department, as well as with the patients, families, providers, and others within the organization.

In addition, the director's oversight will include the day-to-day operational oversight of the departments, including but not limited to monitoring daily productivity, budgets, quality metrics, participation in system workgroups, mentoring, strategic planning, and collaboration with non-nursing departments.

Priority objectives for this role are the growth of the Women’s service line, optimizing patient experience, enhancing quality outcomes, and promoting a culture of safety.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement strategic plans to expand and enhance Women’s health services, including obstetrics, gynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, and other related specialties.

• Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, community organizations, insurers, and other healthcare providers.

• Develop and execute operational plans for the nursing services that align with the organization's business goals.

• Monitor and evaluate performance in organizational goals for experience, quality, and finance.

• Lead performance improvement efforts for the Women’s service line.

• Design and implement metrics, reports, and tools to monitor service delivery and identify areas for improvement and further learning.

• Examine any adverse occurrences, dissect data and findings, recognize trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure your areas of responsibility comply with all legal, regulatory, licensing, and accrediting requirements.

• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment for clinicians

• Communicate effectively with senior management and quality councils.

• Work alongside non-nursing departments to establish procedures to enhance patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Possession of at least a Bachelor's degree.

  • Must have accumulated at least (5) five years of relevant work practice.

  • Must be a registered nurse (RN)

  • Must hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
