Job Title: CNC Mills Programmer

Job Description

The CNC Lathe Programmer is primarily responsible for leading the machining department and providing day-to-day work direction for the manufacturing team. Secondary responsibilities include ensuring production schedule adherence, meeting production key performance indicators, and troubleshooting production issues. These functions are performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that produces existing and new products.

Responsibilities

• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the machining processes and assist management with implementing those changes from idea to realization.

• Provide technical development and mentoring for machinists and set up technicians to improve skills and capabilities within the department.

• Assist in training setup operators and machine operators on multiple machine platforms.

• Work with design engineering as required to resolve manufacturing issues and strive to improve the manufacturability of product design.

• Create and maintain machine shop documentation and provide work instructions to ensure process control.

• Enforce compliance with company policy and administer disciplinary action as appropriate.

• Review time and attendance for the department and submit to payroll promptly.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working in a machine shop environment.

• 2+ years of experience running, setting up, and programming multiple CNC machine platform types.

• Expertise in the operation and setting up of both manual and CNC metal machining equipment.

• Extensive knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• General CNC programming capability for multiple platforms (Sub-Spindle Lathes, etc.).

• Must have a continuous improvement mindset and be able to present and implement positive change.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00

Company benefits will be provided upon interviewing- will get updated copy of 2024 benefits. 3wks PTO, matched 401k.

This is a fully onsite position in Grandview,MO.
