Description:

  • Our client is looking to hire a VP of Quality Control.

  • This would be a great opportunity for someone in a Director role that is looking for advancement.

  • Current state - client environment is almost all manual testing.

  • They are very aggressively working on a strategy and roadmap to move to automation.

  • Their current VP is retiring at the end of the year so they would like someone to start ASAP so there is overlap.

  • They have not selected a tool because they want this person to be a part of the overall vision and strategy.

  • This role will sit onsite 5 days a week in Grand Rapids.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP - Quality Control assists in the administration of the Technical Resources Department, including: resource allocation, software change control and implementation, and quality control testing and validation. This position works closely with the members of the Product Team to analyze reported software problems and assist in coordination and testing. This position also participates in software development planning by providing design assistance and testing. This position will assist in the hiring, training, evaluation, and development of Quality Control staff.
