Seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our brand-new location in Grand Rapids Michigan – VCA Knapp’s Corner Animal Hospital is OPENING in September 2024.

Location: 2078 East Beltline Ave. Grand Rapids, MI 49525

Compensation: $ 17 - $ 20 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

Schedule: Full and Part-time positions available. The hospital is open 6 days a week, M-F 7am- 9 pm & Sat 7am-5pm.

Hiring timeline: We are eager to start assembling a dynamic team for this new location with hiring beginning in July and training the first week of August 2024 to ensure each associate is prepared for our grand opening in September 2024.

Interviews (June +) -> Hiring (July +) -> Training (August +) -> Hospital opening (September)

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience in a general practice or emergency setting

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Willingness to jump in as needed

• Able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

• Comfortable asking for help and clarification when needed

• Possess high attention to detail
