SUMMARY:

Data Management Assistant

The CRM and Data Management Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Salesforce Center for Excellence (SFCOE) by providing technical assistance in building, configuring, and automating Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database technology solutions. This role will also assist in data management and database integrity support for the Manager. These tasks will provide the student with a unique opportunity to get a behind the scenes look into some of the operational CRM functions and data management of Davenport University and partner to lay a foundation for future operational functionalities. May work varying hours; up to 20 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The student will receive highly sought after skills training in the Salesforce database platform. Training will also be provided in Microsoft Excel and Google suite in order to perform daily functions for the SFCOE. Training may vary depending on experience • Supports the work of the SFCOE in serving university departments through the Salesforce CRM platform and other integrated technology solutions. These departments may include: Admissions, Marketing, IPEx, Student Financial Services, Academics, and others in the future • The training provided will serve to develop the CRM database to meet departmental needs for record tracking, task and data automations, as well as sending automated communications • Interview select Salesforce users/administrators to gain documentable descriptions of database field functionality. Projects may entail cross departmental communication and interaction on various levels • Supports the work of the SFCOE with responsibilities of analyzing and preparing Microsoft Excel files for import for communication campaigns and report generation • Systematically analyze datasets for errant values to assist in database hygiene projects • Build shared, descriptive documentation of Salesforce database objects, fields, automations, and business processes • The student will manage projects throughout the semester • Monitor a shared calendar and report on progress to ensure project delivery timelines are met • Provide a brief weekly list of work accomplished and coordinate with supervisor on challenges points and for the upcoming week's activities • The student will receive training in the Salesforce database platform, Microsoft Excel, and Google suite in order to perform daily functions for the SFCOE. Training may vary depending on experience • Provides occasional administrative support to the Manager of the SFCOE • Participate in mandatory training with university departments • Serve as a positive representative of Davenport University • Provides GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers • Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations • Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma • Must be eligible for Federal Work Study • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and meeting the standards of academic progress • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or better • Good disciplinary standing within Davenport University • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets preferred • Demonstrated abi
