Scope of work

Clinical Manager, Ambulatory will lead oncology nurse navigation and multispecialty cancer team in Corewell Health West division. The manager will oversee a team of nurse patient navigators and multispecialty access representatives to provide access to oncology services and patient support. The oncology nurse navigation team provides individualized assistance and care to patients, families, and caregivers throughout all phases of the cancer continuum utilizing oncology-specific clinical knowledge. Nurse navigators assist patients with healthcare system barriers and provide education and resources to facilitate informed decision making and timely access. The cancer multispecialty team clinic provides comprehensive and coordinated care to patients with brain and spine tumors, bone, sarcoma/soft tissue cancer, lung tumors or cancer, prostate or genitourinary (urologic) cancer (including bladder, kidney, or testicular cancers), and melanoma.

The manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring a timely and efficient patient throughput process while providing excellent patient experience. This includes collaborating with Cancer Care leaders to set goals, manage weekly huddles, and develop innovative methods to improve patient access and navigation quality and efficiency. The manager will plan, track, and manage activity throughout the programs and promote teamwork among cross-functional teams. The j ob duties include training and mentoring staff to meet quality regulatory and policy metrics and standards.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.

  • Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through related oncology experience Required.

  • 1 year of relevant supervisory experience Required.

  • Experience working in an organization of size and complexity comparable to Corewell Health Required.

  • MI RN License Required.
