The Manager of Health and Nutrition Services plays a crucial role in shaping the company’s enterprise health and wellness strategy. This position oversees nutritional strategies, educational content, and programs tailored to chronic disease states, while also serving as a nutrition consultant for various business areas.
Key responsibilities include leading all food-as-medicine initiatives, such as produce prescription programs, in lieu of service, healthy food packs, and medically tailored meals. The manager will oversee dietitian services, including consultations, cooking demonstrations, vendor relationships, and media coverage. This role collaborates with merchandising to expand SNAP / WIC offerings.
What You'll Be Doing
Develop and implement educational materials, workshops, and programs that incorporate food as a key component of health care, enhance customer experience, and support wellness and nutrition projects.
Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and non-profits to create and manage produce prescription and nutritional programs, curate healthy food products, and develop health and nutrition initiatives for partners and the community.
Represent the company in vendor meetings, fostering relationships with CPGs and other stakeholders to promote health-driven growth.
Oversee a team of dietitians, ensuring their credentialing, payment reconciliation for nutrition services, content quality, and personalized nutrition advice.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Store Operations to implement and expand health-centric programs in-store and online.
Lead healthcare team professionals in executing wellness and nutrition initiatives, promote health initiatives through media and company publications, and coordinate in-store wellness product demos and sampling.
Ensure all initiatives align with the company’s mission and health strategic goals.
Develop KPIs for health-focused programs and provide leadership with data-driven insights on ROI and program impact.
Ensure programs enhance the brand’s reputation for sustainability and profitability.

What You'll Bring With You:
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in health program management, preferably in a retail or community health setting.
Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to build partnerships, and knowledge of nutrition and public health principles.
Preferred: Licensed Dietitian, experience in media, retail environment, sales, or marketing.
