About the Unit

Corewell Health Blodgett Lab provides testing for Blodgett’s 380+ inpatient, ER, and surgical patients . Located in beautiful East Grand Rapids, our lab provides high quality, high volume testing in a fast paced, supportive environment.

Scope of Work

Performs, interprets and correlates clinical laboratory tests by following departmental protocols to assist in physician diagnosis and treatment. Prepares specimens for testing, screens patient specimens, and analyzes patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Performs quality control procedures and assists in maintaining an efficient and effective laboratory operation. May serve as a generalist or as a limited specialist.

    Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required

  • 1 year relevant experience in related field is preferred

  • ASCP MT or MLS, AMT MT, or AACC CT required upon hire
