Role Overview:

The Materials Leader will lead the Avionics Materials organization to continuously improve business unit delivery, cost, and inventory. The role owns the Sales & Operations Planning process (S&OP) as well as Master Scheduling and supply planning across new production, repair, and NPI. This includes integration with product management, commercial teams, engineering, and operations to ensure the plan meets production and inventory targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage master planning, material processes, and systems to achieve continuous improvement in delivery, cost, and inventory metrics.

  • Prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs to ensure operational alignment with production plans and KPIs.

  • Ensure that materials planning and inventory management practices comply with company policies and industry standards.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues and support business growth.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain resilience and responsiveness.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the materials organization.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity and present business or technical discipline solutions to leaders.

  • Communicate complex messages and influence peers to take action. May negotiate internally and/or with external partners, vendors, or customers.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Materials Planning and/or Sourcing)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Materials Planning and/or Sourcing

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills

  • Certification or familiarity with CPIM (Certification in Planning and Inventory Management) from ASCM or equivalent organization

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects in matrix organization

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
