Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

Job Description

This is a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician position working from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working on weekends when necessary. The role involves maintaining and supporting product-specific work cells to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. The focus is on mechanical systems such as conveyors, gearboxes, and fluid transfer equipment in the mixing/mill area.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and support of product-specific work cells to minimize downtime.

• Respond to any downtime situations to get machines back up and running.

• Conduct preventative maintenance on all work cells and document the maintenance performed.

• Evaluate and identify potential future maintenance needs and issues.

• Perform process verification procedures and follow process deviation procedures when changing parameters.

• Carry out repairs such as fabricating, replacing bearings, repairing/replacing hydraulic pumps, cooling pumps, conveyors, belts, and drives.

• Perform minor facility maintenance repairs and collaborate with others on maintenance issues.

• Experience with heavy mixing equipment

• Automation knowledge

• Automotive experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00
