Aerotek Maintenance Electrician in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician - 2nd Shift

Job Description

This is a 2nd shift Maintenance Electrician position working from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts when necessary. The role involves electrical maintenance and support of product-specific work cells to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Responsibilities include responding to downtime situations, performing preventative maintenance on work cells, documenting maintenance activities, and evaluating potential future maintenance needs and issues. The role also involves performing process verification procedures and following process deviation procedures when changing parameters. Additionally, the maintenance will include repairs such as fabricating, replacing bearings, and repairing/replacing hydraulic pumps, cooling pumps, conveyors, belts, and drive material transfers. The equipment is similar to baking equipment used in a baking facility. Minor facility maintenance repairs are also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance and support for product-specific work cells.

  • Respond to downtime situations to quickly restore machine functionality.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on work cells and document activities.

  • Evaluate and identify potential future maintenance needs and issues.

  • Perform process verification procedures and follow process deviation procedures when changing parameters.

  • Repair and replace bearings, hydraulic pumps, cooling pumps, conveyors, belts, and drive material transfers.

  • Conduct minor facility maintenance repairs as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of PLC troubleshooting experience.

  • 5 years of experience performing maintenance and preventative maintenance.

  • 5 years of experience with hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.

  • 3 years of experience reading blueprints.

  • Facilities maintenance experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC editing.

  • Automation experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00
