Meijer is seeking an IT Technical Product Manager leading IT Automated Operations (AIOps) to drive consistency, speed, and quality though automation.

This IT Manager also leads Enterprise Monitoring and Observability to drive full-stack end-to-end visibility of our applications and associated infrastructure.

This leader is responsible for developing a high functioning team and coaching team members to support skills development and career growth. The IT Manager is responsible for strategic planning, execution of all projects and budgets within assigned business areas to deliver business value, and IT operations.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Responsible for team talent development, including active coaching to support team member’s technical and functional skills and career growth.

  • Develops and maintains a technology roadmap that supports business objectives.

  • Develops project resourcing strategies, allocating budget, staff (on-site, off shore & vendor), tools and specialized support necessary for cost-effective implementation.

  • Ensure delivery of business value leading SAFe Agile teams.

  • Support business, IT users and stakeholders; operate and maintain IT solutions.

IT Automated Operations (AIOps):

  • AIOps leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence within IT to focus on continuous improvement

  • Drive operational labor reduction and elimination program through automation, scripting, and continuous improvement

  • Work with stakeholders to develop ROI and prioritize automation backlog

  • Develop self service enablement and automation team culture and skill

  • Ensure consistency and cross-team use of automation assets

  • Work across IT to build the automation library of patterns, bots and scripts; this includes orchestration, provisioning, etc.

  • Implement through automation advancing CI/CD

Enterprise Monitoring and Observability:

  • Enterprise Monitoring strategy and enablement

  • Log aggregation

  • Event correlation and management

  • Actionable Alert management

  • Discovery and Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

  • Service Mapping; end-to-end topology

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required.

  • 10+ years of broad technical knowledge with hands-on experience managing systems, development, and environments; knowledge of relevant technology and tools (ServiceNow, Dynatrace, RPA, Azure Monitor, Log Management, etc.).

  • 3+ years demonstrating leadership skills and possessing a track record of managing technical staff (cross-functional experience highly desirable).

  • Experience managing budgets and understanding impact of financial decisions to P&L.

  • Demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals.

  • Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems

  • Leadership skills that create and foster an environment of trust and empowerment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors and vendors.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment.

  • Knowledge and experience in developing and executing strategic information systems plans.
