Corewell Health HVAC Associate in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Summary

Provides a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment through cleaning and general maintenance under the direction of a supervisor. Works as an apprentice in the Spectrum Health Technician, HVAC apprenticeship program. Under the guidance of the Technician, HVAC Lead, performs basic HVAC skills.

Essential Functions

  • Communicates and collaborates with the supervisor, customer, and other trades and sub-contractors to ensure quality, timely, cost effective maintenance with continuity and coordination of services.

  • Under the guidance of the Technician HVAC Lead, performs basic HVAC maintenance including the assembly, installation, repair of all items associated with heating and cooling and piping systems, and minor plumbing & electrical maintenance according to specifications and HVAC codes. Measures, cuts, and installs HVAC related items using hand and power tools.

  • Documents procedures and work completed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Assists in reviewing project blueprints, developing estimates, placing orders and preparing site for construction, installation, replacement and/or repair.

  • Ensures proper care, maintenance and safe use of equipment and supplies and keep work areas orderly, clean and safe.

QualificationsRequired

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of relevant experience

  • Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan
