Responsible for application coding, configuration and testing, and works with the team on system performance optimization and interoperability issues. This position works with business product owners, developers, and quality analysts to drive value delivery and will participate in all phases of Agile software development.

The Meijer IT Supply Chain (Distribution, Logistics and Manufacturing) Department is seeking an Application Developer to join our team. This person will be responsible for application coding, configuration and testing, and works with the team on system performance optimization and interoperability issues. This position works with business product owners, developers, and quality analysts to drive value delivery and will participate in all phases of Agile software development.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Design, code,development, and maintenance of applications using the Azure Tech Stack (Primarily with .Net and C#).

  • Designs, implements, and works with databases, particularly SQL and CosmosDB.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Develops appropriate programs and systems documentation according to SAFe Agile principles and industry standards.

  • Runs unit tests. Monitors test results and takes required corrective action.

  • Collaborates with the Business Product Owner and IT partners to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria for projects.

  • Aids in systems development planning and monitoring.

  • Actively participates in all Agile team ceremonies.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Basic experience with Azure Tech Stack, including services such as Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps.

  • Programming experience in .NET and C#.

  • Familiarity with business systems.

  • Experience as a team member on project teams or support teams; experience on Agile project teams is preferred.

  • Knowledge of development tools, coding and/or scripting languages and testing.

  • Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.

  • Knowledge of database management and file access methods.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

  • Ability to provide a high level of quality and productivity.
