Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented individual for a role in the Machinery Manufacturing industry based in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan. This role is centered around providing excellent customer service and maintaining customer relationships. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, handling customer inquiries and actively cross-selling and referring customers. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming telephone calls and written business correspondence.

• Build solid customer relationships by providing accurate and friendly customer service in a timely manner.

• Support business development and client referral goals through active cross-selling and referrals.

• Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners, clients, and customers.

• Use customer relationship management systems, such as ACT!, Illustrator, Highrise, and Insightly, to manage customer interactions.

• Solve complex customer inquiries by conducting extensive research.

• Navigate multiple computer systems and applications.

• Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Have experience with Microsoft Office and other administrative skills.

• Go the extra mile to improve customer service skills and deliver personalized service specific to individual customer needs. Requirements • Proven experience in a Customer Service role within the Machinery Manufacturing industry.

• Proficient in using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively address customer inquiries and complaints.

• Ability to quickly learn and understand product specifications to provide accurate information to customers.

• Strong problem-solving skills to effectively resolve customer issues in a timely manner.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field will be a plus.

• Bilingual or multilingual skills would be an advantage.
