The Business to Business Inventory Control Analyst will support demand planning, inventory control and communication to business partners regarding orders.

This position will follow a hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remote.

What You'll be Doing:

Executes product flow for B2B Customer demand including:

  • Compares order creation from Order Management System interface with Manufacturing to coincide with Customer needs.

  • Reviews replenishment patterns and settings to ensure proper order fill

  • Create inventory transfers from Warehouse Balance On Hand to B2B virtual warehouses where appropriate

  • Demand fulfillment/Purchase Order creation

  • Review receipt plan as it relates to product flow. Communicate any issues or problems to the Merchandising team

  • Monitor current in-stock conditions at the distribution facilities and communicate any issues

  • Accountable for managing B2B dated product within distribution facilities and taking action prior to expiration date

  • Reviews demand forecasting at item level to ensure product flow meets B2B customer need

  • Manages replenishment allocation parameters to increase future demand where applicable

  • Controls slot minimum settings for B2B items in cross-dock buildings

  • Responsible for understanding vendor order groups, lead times, and schedules

  • Awareness of product recalls for items on B2B orders

  • Partners with Supply Chain team to understand overall network and product flow decisions

  • Communicates with Meijer Merchandising Teams and B2B Customers to problem solve and/or provide relevant order information

  • Appropriately responds to any store level issues by providing relevant information regarding order numbers, shipping dates, trailer numbers, etc.

  • Raises and escalates issues or concerns to team that may have significant impact on the business or interrupt product flow

  • Adheres to all practices, processes and systems as they relate to product flow

  • Active participant and establishes a strong relationship with the teams

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Associate’s degree required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent retail experience.

  • 1-2 years of previous merchandising and/or retail experience preferred.

  • Microsoft Office experience required

  • Knowledge of Meijer replenishment systems, Manugistics and PMM preferred.

  • Ability to gather and interpret data for various reports, as appropriate.

  • Knowledge of the retail industry - understanding of specific category product lines and core customer behavior.

  • Results focused; uses performance targets and goals to drive own activities as well as help team succeed.

  • Ability to drive positive change within the team.
