SALARY: $48,000 - $52,000 Hybrid Schedule possible after training SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Transfer Articulation is responsible for building and maintaining strong partnerships with other institutions that optimize transferability into Davenport programs that meet expected academic program standards. The role also takes a proactive approach in the discovery and evaluation of potential new partnerships and new program articulations.
The Associate Director collaborates with the university deans and department chairs to ensure that transfer equivalencies are in line with college level coursework within all articulation agreements. An integral member of the University Registrar team, the associate director also collaborates with CRO staff regarding optimization of degree plans and transfer evaluations to ensure accuracy and adherence financial aid guidelines.
Associate Director leads the creation, maintenance and recording of articulation agreements for community colleges, high schools, career and technical education centers, Canadian partner schools and corporate entities. The role also provides formal and informal training of new articulations and updates within current agreements to appropriate stakeholders in academics, admissions and advising.
Additionally, the Associate Director is responsible for all updates to the Michigan Transfer Network including the website, front page, and database information and is an active participant in MACRO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years Higher Education experience required, preferably in an area that utilized or evaluated articulation agreements. • Familiarity with curriculum required, familiarity with Davenport University curriculum preferred. • Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with computerized data systems (databases, spreadsheets, SIS and degree planning software) • Demonstrated motivational and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University. • Willingness to travel, travel between locations required (own transportation). Overnight stays may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Continuously evaluate the educational environment for potential partnerships to optimize transferability to Davenport University. • Formulate, in partnership with academics, innovative articulation agreements with community colleges, high schools, career and technical education centers, Canadian partner schools and corporate sites that are responsive to market needs. • Analyze and evaluate participation in articulation programs annually and provides suggested changes for review and approval by appropriate internal and external stakeholders. • Develop and maintain the timeline for articulation updates in conjunction with university schedules to optimize admissions and registration. • Engage with CRO staff in the development and implementation of articulation agreements to ensure Degree Plans and transfer evaluations are optimized. • Maintain an up-to-date database of community college, high schools, vocational tech centers and corporate site contacts and articulation agreements accessible to DU stakeholders. • Update the Davenport University Statewide Post-Secondary Credit Agreement (Articulation) information including POS, ASF, and website information. • Actively participate in MACRAO and communicate trends, issues and opportunities to academics. • Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies.
